The lies our teachers told us about jobs

When we were in secondary school days, we were frequently reminded by our teachers that our fate depends on our academic performances, I could recall there was a teacher who once told us that “If you graduate with good grades you will all get a good job and if you fail to do so you will not get a good one” but we couldn't ask him about his own grades and how he ended up teaching secondary school students.

In university they gave us the impression that if you don’t have a degree you will never make it in life or your making in life depends on your class of degree, but after graduating with the good grades we found out things are not exactly as we were led to believe, jobs are hard to get. I came across many graduates that have graduated 6 to 8 years without job most of them have given up already. Most graduates prefer having multiple copies of their CVs and submitting them from one office to another in search of jobs which most of them eventually dont get.

So now, do you choose to spend many years searching for a job or you wish to make any bold step to change your life for better? a question you should ask yourself. But honestly, after all the hardship you experience in schools, after all you have been through, you don’t deserve this treatment.

Here is an advice for you, Why don’t you start a business whether small or big, Business is the way you make a living without waiting for someone to employ you, to be self employed is the best way to live a happy life, nobody tells you when to come and go, you have absolute freedom and most importantly you control your income. It has been confirmed that most graduates that choose to start their own business and make their own money tend to be more successful than those who secured a job, because with a good business you can earn 5 times what any civil servant can earn in the whole month. So forget about your class of degree and face real life.

We will tell you how to start your own business in our next article, keep in touch.
